P-A-R-T-Y, it’s time to party hearty at the Fairmont San Francisco for DYF’s 2024 Gala! On Saturday, April 20, 2024, we will gather at the Fairmont San Francisco to raise funds in support of DYF's 2024 programs.
This year’s theme is Life Without Limits, and we’ll be celebrating how DYF's programs provide the tools, resources, and community necessary for individuals with T1D to lead the lives they want to live, at camp and beyond. This once-yearly event provides a rare opportunity to gather our entire community together for an evening of dining, dancing, celebration, and fun! Funds raised will be used to empower DYF participants to live full, healthy, adventurous lives with T1D and without limits!
Returning as auctioneer is Emmy Award winning radio & TV personality Liam Mayclem! Liam is best known as the host of EYE ON THE BAY on CBS 5 and as "The Foodie Chap" celebrating San Francisco Bay Area culinary stars on #1 KCBS Radio.
Our Emcee for the evening is Paul Heggen, Chief Meteorologist for KPIX, CBS News Bay Area. Paul has won seven Emmy Awards, most recently for his coverage of the lightning-caused fires and air quality issues in the Bay Area in 2020. He's also won multiple "Best Weathercast" and "Best Weather Anchor" awards from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists. In 2019, he was named "Weathercaster of the Year" by the Radio, Television and Digital News Association of the Carolinas, for his work during Hurricane Florence.
